Bachport Photo/Picture/Painting Competition
Last month we launched a photo competition, which we have now decided to open up to also include paintings and any other visual interpretation that artistically expresses how you feel about the prospect of a gravel pit and concrete plant being built on the Oxfordshire Green Belt, overlooking the beautiful and tranquil River Thames and the Thames path.
The brief is simple: #sorrybutNOquarry.
We are inviting you to take a photo, or create a painting, illustration or image, that you feel describes or evokes this idea. We are open to digital manipulation. There are two sections: Adult and Junior (Junior is aged 16 and under).
Photo entries, or a photo of your artwork, should please be sent as a JPG/Jpeg, landscape format, using the highest resolution possible, minimum 1 MB (10 MB would be ideal) to bachport at btinternet.com
Please state your date of birth if your entry is in the Junior category.
The deadline for entries has now been extended to Wednesday 30th November.
The judges are Clare Owen, editor of The Bridge, Gary Cooper, owner of Fabulous Flowers in Abingdon and filmmaker Giles Harvey of Luttrell Productions.
And now for the prizes…
The Barley Mow has very generously donated a fantastic dinner for two (all food and drink included), which is first prize for the Adult section.
First prize for the Junior section is an incredibly exciting wakeboarding lesson at the Oxford Wakeboard & Ski Club in Berinsfield.
The two winning entries will appear on the front and back cover of The Bridge.
All runners up will receive a Bachport #sorrybutNOquarry T shirt.
We can’t wait to see your entries!
