bus service
Dear Ms Burbidge,
Further to your email, the Officer
advice is below.
Thames Travel’s plans for their new commercial bus
network, commencing on 8th December, originally removed all bus
services from Culham Village. Fortunately Oxfordshire County Council
has secured a deal for some buses on the new Berinsfield – Abingdon
service T2 to divert via Culham Village. Buses will therefore serve the
village in the peak hours and two hourly during the daytime to and from
Abingdon. I appreciate that this a reduction on the current hourly
service but Thames Travel has withdrawn the current service 32 entirely
and we welcome their co-operation in agreeing to divert some journeys
from the main A415.

Subject: Culham bus service
Hi
I
was shocked to hear on Friday evening at community meeting that all bus
service to Culham is ceasing at the end of this week without,
seemingly, any warning or consultation with residents. Whose in charge
here? Can you please look into this and if possible, at the very least,
negotiate a 'stay of execution' to enable the consequences of this this
decision to be evaluated.
Regards
