[Community] Abgindon Bypass proposal

Dear All

Further to my email this morning, I can report that the draft of the 
official SODC response sounds very robust and calls for the proposal to 
be removed completely from the plan.

I can't share the details at this stage as I've not seen them in 
writing, but all of the points you have made are covered, plus some 
further ones - including the view that, even if it was appropriate to 
safeguard the land, it's not possible for Vale to do it for land outside 
their boundary (as I suspected).

As soon as the letter has been through it's sign-off process (thankfully 
very short), I shall let you have a copy so that you are completely 
clear where SODC stands.
